Insiders Guide to Dublin : Paul Kelly / La Marzocco

World Aeropress Championships

_DSF2368

In the first of a series of our WAC Guide to Dublin, we’ve asked native Irishman Paul Kelly to give us a little selection of his favourite spots from those of you who’ll be in Dublin for the World AeroPress Championships on the 23rd June.

DublinRecs_Coffee
Coffee: The Dublin coffee stop has to be the newly open Proper Order Coffee Co. in Smithfield. Try the Slap and Tickle Latte.

DublinRecs_Drinks
Drink: Taste the Guinness at Paddy Cullen’s Pub, right next to the WBC, great for a pint and some traditional Irish music.

DublinRecs_Sightseeing
Sightsee: If you’re in to your whiskey visit the Teeling Distillery Co. and take the tour, here you can enjoy the true spirit of Dublin.

DublinRecs_Lunch
Food: If you fancy a great Irish breakfast drop in to Juniors on Bath Avenue. The bacon and poached eggs on soda bread are a must.

DublinRecs_Lodging
Stay: Just 5 minutes walk from the WBC is the Sandymount Hotel and for those of your wanting to be pampered with ‘understated elegance’ there is the Merrion Hotel.

DublinRecs_Dining
Dinner: Working for an Italian company based in Florence I am always looking for the best steak in town, the place in Dublin to get my fix is FX Buckley. Best chicken wings ever has to be Elephant and Castle that’s if you manage to get a seat.
