AeroPress: Super-unreal Edition
It goes without saying that the AeroPress is a versatile and adored device for brewing exceptional-tasting coffee, but the look is a little bit… well, practical. Over the years, the brewer has evolved from blue-ish to clear, and has now settled at a kind of smokey grey. Good old reliable grey.
Looks-wise, we thought it high time to get wild.
This Super-unreal Edition of the AeroPress is a technicolour melange of W.A.C-style pink at the base, fading back and giving way to a resplendent azure blue. Each of the strictly limited edition of 200 brewers has been prepared and airbrushed by hand in Eppalock, Victoria before being individually numbered and inscribed with W.A.C artwork.
As if that wasn’t enough, 10% of proceeds from the sale of these brewers will go to the Asylum Seeker Resource Center, who work tirelessly towards ensuring “that all those seeking asylum in Australia have their human rights upheld and that those seeking asylum in our community receive the support and opportunities they need to live independently.” Looks good, does good.
Months of back-and-forth has gone into turning these 200 smokey grey brewers into these bold and spectacular Super-unreal Editions, and we owe tremendous amounts of thanks to Tim Messenger of BikeHikeBrew, Willow Berzin of FullCircle, Toby Parkinson, and Curtis Arnold of Coffee Tools Distributing.
Please note: Strictly-speaking, this is an ornamental brewer: a collectable for the shelf more so than the kitchen. We don’t recommend brewing with it. This brewer does not come with the usual AeroPress accessories or filters.
